Terms of Service
The rules for using Reddit Archive: what the service does, acceptable use, credits and payments, and limits of liability.
Last updated: 2026-10-28
By using redditarchive.org (the “Service”) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service
Reddit Archive lets you look up publicly available Reddit posts and comments. It is not a complete historical archive, does not recover deleted or removed content, and does not guarantee that any particular record exists, is complete, or is current. Results depend on what Reddit makes available through our third-party data service at the time of the request.
Independence from Reddit
Reddit Archive is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Reddit, Inc. “Reddit” is a trademark of Reddit, Inc.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to harass, stalk, doxx or profile individuals, or to circumvent access controls on private, banned or quarantined communities;
- send automated or excessive requests, or try to bypass credit limits;
- attempt to access the Service’s systems, keys or other users’ data;
- use results in a way that violates Reddit’s terms, applicable law, or others’ rights.
Content you see belongs to its authors and/or Reddit. You are responsible for how you use it.
Credits, passes and payments
Each new account receives one free credit on signup, once, and it does not expire. There is no daily or periodic refresh, and looking up content requires an account. Purchased credits are used before the signup credit. A credit is used when a lookup delivers at least one record; empty results, errors, timeouts and automatic retries do not use credits. The Research Pass is a one-time purchase that grants a fixed number of credits for seven days and does not renew automatically. You may purchase it again at any time; each purchase grants its own 200 credits for seven days from payment confirmation. Existing credit balances and expiry dates are not reset by another purchase. Pro costs US$7.99 per month and renews automatically until you cancel renewal in Billing. Each paid period grants 1,000 credits, which expire at the end of that billing period with no rollover or automatic overage charges. Canceling renewal keeps the current period available until its end. Projects, saved filters and reference exports are not included in either package. Credits have no cash value and expire as stated at purchase. Paying does not unlock deleted content, a historical archive, or deeper coverage. Refunds are handled as described at checkout and by contacting support@redditarchive.org; where a purchase could not be delivered, we will refund it.

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on results.
